Congratulations on Your Cadet's Appointment and Welcome Aboard!

This information is divided into class groups so the info is as relevant as possible. Listed below are the ListMasters for the e-mail groups. Thanks to Dawn & Steve Switzer (Listmasters extraordinaire: Class of 2002, Interim-2006) for the following explanation:

WHAT IS AN E-MAIL GROUPThe Switzers (Paige '02)

Each class has an E-mail Group for parents of Cadets in the Coast Guard Academy, along with some other interested parties (other classes, the National Parents' Association, family members, etc.). Using E-mail we can share information, news, and other tidbits about the Academy Experience, especially as it relates to where our cadets are in their journey. This will also be a point of support for us parents. Please contribute information as you wish, sharing your cadet's experience and your own as they progress through the Academy. I first learned of this type of E-mail from Steve Crecy, father of Kevin '00. There was also a list run by Steve DiPace (Mike '01) - which was the first, as I understand it. There was nothing going for our class - so I decided to step up and give it a try.

HOW IT WORKS

Send your E-mail to your Class Listmaster and they will then send it on to everyone else on the list. In this way, the emails among the group are moderated. You should only see your own E-mail address, not everyone else's. If you want to be removed from the list, just let your Listmaster know, or visit the subscription page for your email group.

Keep in mind that your messages will be read by many people, and could be sent on to others (grandparents, other parent groups, Auxiliary members, sponsor families, etc). Please use your judgement and common sense when writing messages! Include comments, questions, information for others, info about your cadet, etc. Please refrain from sending jokes, chain e-mails, recipes, or other mass mailings.

Steve has served for many years as a listmaster and advisor to many. This is a substantial and rewarding undertaking. If you are interested please contact our or any of the National Association officers.

Thanks Steve!
