a great way to enhance your USCGA Parents
Association membership
and increase the feeling of community among parents and with the Academy.
The Virtual Chapter is especially designed to bring together parents
in states, territories and other nations not yet served by a local/regional
chapter. Local chapter members are welcome to contribute or ‘borrow’
ideas. It’s available 24 x 7 on www.uscgaparents.org.
Best of all, it’s free with your $50 “lifetime” membership
fee.
Through the Virtual Chapter, you can…
Find a chapter
or build your own!.
Network with nearby parents or parents with cadets
in the same class as your own favorite cadet.
Learn how to promote the Academy in your area -
assisting with news releases, how to contact media, and how to help
with recruiting.
Facilitate two-way communication with the Parents
Council, the Association’s elected leaders. The Virtual chapter
has its own on-line discussion forums, for the exchange of ideas, and
chapter business. Go our National
Association's Parent to Parent Forums and register (get your own
Account!). Once registered, join our Virtual Chapter usergroup.
Meet your virtual friends in person
at the Academy during various events: Reporting In Day, Parents Weekend
- or perhaps one of the several "All-Academies Ball" events
held at locations throughout the country.
