It is so important to have local support networks for cadets and their parents, especially in a state like Florida. With a regional office and a number of major Coast Guard stations, Florida is a prime recruiting state for the Academy. In addition, many sports and music teams have competitions, training sessions, and performances in Florida. Our state sends many new cadets to the Academy each year.
